Align, Tone & Flow Yoga

Proper body alignment is key to increasing physical well being as well as keeping us safe as we flow through our yoga practice.  Classes develop strong postural alignment, fluid deep breaths, creating community and bring our minds attention within to help us take on life's challenges on and off the mat. This practice is best for those in good health or have yoga experience and enjoy classes designed to tone and build strength.  This class is open to the public.

Summer Breeze Yoga * Tues 6-7:15 pm * 5/29-6/26

Summer is time to reflect, unwind and deepen our commitment to our own health. This class will begin with easy flowing breath and movement, developing into building stamina and balance with standing postures and then return to the earth for long held stretches that come more easily under the summer sun.  This class is open to the public and beginners to those with some yoga experience are welcome.  This is a new class and pre-register with JCC before May 26 is highly recommended.

Yoga Basics

at ah Yoga 65 Bank St, New Milford * Begins May 2 - class will be ongoing through summer

Fluid breath and movement is kind to our joints while calming our mind.  Proper postural alignment blended with toning creates healthier bodies.  Include a practice that brings a resilient mind and you have overall balance.  Each class will begin with easy flowing postures to release the days tensions.  We will move to standing for postural strengthen and balance flow to the floor for poses designed to release the back, hips and legs.  Every session will end with the sweet reward of deep relaxation.

Private Yoga Sessions

Private Group Classes are yoga classes on your groups schedule.  Whether you are a small group of 4 or tribe of 20 - select a day, time and location and Lara Ward will bring the yoga experience.

Your Private Yoga Practice are sessions designed just for you. Whether your goal is learning the basics or moving your practice to a higher level, your very experienced teacher,  Lara Ward will designe a practice specifically for you.  A variety of yoga styles are offered:  Gentle,  Flow, Hatha/Basics, Ashtanga, Meditation, Restorative, Fluid Vinyasa or Yin Yoga.  And if you don't know what style, Lara will design and guide you through an appropriate style for your level of ability.  Each session may consist of breathing techniques, appropriate postures blended with relaxation techniques. Or perhaps you are interested in learning deeper aspects of yoga philosophy, energy work and/or meditation depending upon personal interests.  Private sessions are by appointment only and maybe held in your home, ah Yoga New Milford or at the Jewish Community Center in Sherman.  60 to 120 minutes sessions are available with session fees starting at $90.

Classes are taught by Lotus Gardens, LLC Founder & Director Lara Azzarito Ward.  Lara has been a Yoga Alliance Experienced 500 Yoga Teacher with over 25 years guiding clients into the world of yoga.  She holds  Massage Therapy licenses in CT & NY iand is certified in Hydrotherapy and Reflexology.   She is honored to be an Adjunct Professor at WCSU, a member of the Advisory Board for WCSU's Institute of Holistic Health Board, and has worked with cardiac rehab. departments at Danbury & New Milford Hospitals as well as most of the major corporations in the greater Danbury area.
