Yoga In The Enlightened Years: A Seniors Teacher Training

Lara PoseKeeping our bodies youthful, our minds pliable and our hearts full is the beauty secret of aging gracefully. As a teacher, learning the issues of aging and their effects on the body as well as preventative care will allow us to guide our students through the elder stages of their lives gracefully (as well as our own).

In this program, we will explore the aging process and its common ailments.

You will learn mat and chair techniques to work with such concerns as:

  • joint replacement
  • osteoporosis
  • heart disease
  • memory loss
  • depression
  • bereavement

We will be studying the secrets of sequencing for an older body in order to keep our range of motion so we may feel younger and live healthier. Also, look at the latest research studies on yoga and the proven affects on aging body and mind! This program will address the fastest growing population in our modern society while we bring in the ancient traditions of 5,000 year old yoga. Join us in making this time a peaceful and joyous experience!
