About Lotus Gardens
At Lotus Gardens we know that yoga is not just an exercise fad, but a lifestyle dedicated to peace and well-being.
We are a multi-disciplined organization devoted to nurturing the experience of sharing and educating both yoga students and teachers. Lara Azzarito Ward is the founder and director of Lotus Gardens Yoga School.
Lara mindfully created Lotus Gardens as a non-traditional yoga studio. Our office is in rural Sherman, CT yet we do not have a public studio here. Instead we come to you, our clients and students. Since 1995, we have brought our programs to yoga studios, corporations, hospitals, schools and private clients throughout CT & NY. Some of our home studios in CT are Balanced Body Wellness Center Naugatuck/Waterbury area, Harmony Yoga New Milford, Graceful Planet Newtown, My Yoga Place Monroe, Growing Tree Yoga Norwalk, The Natural Path Plantsville/Hartford area and in NY at Soluna Niskayuna/Albany area.
Since 1980, we have offered yoga, meditation, martial arts, stress management classes and wellness programs to the public, schools, hospitals, corporations and private clients along with a comprehensive yoga teacher training curriculum.
As the first Yoga Alliance approved school in Connecticut, our refined 200 hour yoga teacher training program has certified over 200 instructors who now guide others into the garden of yoga throughout the world.Continuing Education programs bloom for Lotus Gardens’ alumni as well as yoga teachers from all disciplines through our Advanced Trainings and the 500 hour training certification. In 2007, we planted the seed of guiding parents, teachers and yoga instructors to share yoga for children as we united with Sara Holland of Growing Tree Yoga to offer Growing Lotus Kids Yoga Teacher Certification. Laughing and learning with the hopes of teaching skills of physical health, emotional peace, and self love to children as far as we can with our blossoming programs for the future.
We take a moment to pause and enjoy the friends we have made, all that we have shared and learned and are so very very grateful for. Peace to the world!
